Begin and end your visit at Patchwork Post: a lively space in which to relax, look around, discuss and reflect. This space forms the heart of the Klooster and serves as a landing point for museum visitors and a reception area for group visits.

Design

In Patchwork Post, Simone Post employs a variety of techniques and uses different fabrics she has collected throughout her career. She has incorporated various highlights from the Centraal Museum’s collection into her design, giving them new meaning through patchwork patterns composed of different pieces of fabric.

Seating

The seating in the centre of the space alludes to the medieval ship on display in the museum’s basement. The installation thus conveys an impression of the museum’s rich and diverse collection.
