Martial Arts Summer School Amsterdam

Get on the mat in the middle of the museum this summer vacation!

This summer, the heart of Wereldmuseum Amsterdam transforms into Martial Arts Summer School! Every day there are free live classes in the middle of our iconic Light Hall. Classes will be taught by Amsterdam's finest martial arts sports schools and each week will feature a different martial art: karate, kickboxing, tai chi, capoeira, wushu/kungfu and pencak silat. Get exhausted in the most monumental kick ass museum in the Netherlands! Don't want a teacher or just too late for class? No problem! There are video tutorials all day long, guided tours or you can experience the Martial Arts exhibition itself.

All activities are free of charge. All you need is a valid museum admission.

A kids-proof activity for everyone!

The Martial Arts Summer School is the perfect activity for children, but is fun and suitable for all ages. No martial arts experience is necessary. Classes last 45 minutes, but you don't have to attend the entire class. You can get on and off the mat at any time. And of course you can skip any exercise that doesn't suit you.

Daily live classes of 45 minutes at 2 and 3 pm.
